We are honored that you are considering HLS as a place for your child to learn and grow each day! Our love for children and our commitment to education are at the foundation of HLS. Our program has been designed with the best interest of the children in mind. We will maintain a clean environment by implementing strict sanitary procedures, a safe environment by ensuring state-of-the-art security measures as well as web cams, and a healthy environment that is conducive to exploration and personal growth.
At HLS, we understand what a huge decision it is to leave your child in someone else’s hands each day. We also understand the demands of being a working parent and having a child. By focusing on nurturing and educating the children and supporting the parents, our hope is that you will feel a sense of “home” when you walk through our doors!
Nurture
Our intention is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment that will instill trust and a sense of belonging. Each child will be assigned a primary caregiver who will ensure that their personal needs are met and that attention is given to every detail of their day. Your child will create a special bond with his or her primary caregiver as well as develop loving relationships with the other caregivers in the classroom. Our teachers naturally display love, support and encouragement to the children and act as positive role models. It is our priority to retain our teachers, minimize turnover and ensure consistency of care so that the bonds that are formed have the impact that the children deserve- a sense of belonging that will foster social-emotional and inter-personal development. Our center is designed to meet our high standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality and support a positive group learning environment. We strive to maintain a physically clean and safe space that feels like home. From our attention to individual detail to the respect that we show each other, we will simulate the comforts of family while your child is in our care by using teamwork and positive reinforcement with the goal being to build self confidence.
EDUCATE
HLS is not just a day care center. Our intention is to build a strong educational foundation that will encourage a lifetime love of learning. We believe that the early years of a child’s life are among the most impressionable. To that end, we are committed to providing a superlative early childhood learning experience. Our curriculum has been carefully selected by a team of experienced and certified educators and will be implemented with the support of the Director and Head Teacher. Lesson plans are age appropriate, based on play, and engaging, with clear objectives that will have your child exploring, laughing and learning! In addition, our staff includes an educational consultant with over 35 years of experience. Our consultant will work alongside our certified teacher and assist with programming and curriculum implementation and she will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child’s learning. We encourage ongoing teamwork between parents and staff to ensure that each child reaches his or her potential in preparation for their “school aged” years ahead.
SUPPORT
We strive to support working parents with peace of mind that every facet of their child’s day is covered with attention to detail and personal needs. It is imperative to HLS that the management team is visible and available to guide and support parents through their child’s experience at our center. It is our priority that we respond promptly to your e-mails and phone calls, and we always keep in mind that your child is an individual with unique talents and needs. Our Management Team consists of people who are parents themselves and truly understand how comforting it is to know your child is in good hands. We know what it takes to make that happen! We believe that an open line of communication is essential and we are always open to comments or suggestions on how we can improve. We encourage parent involvement and welcome parents spending time with their child at the center.
